Does time fly?

Today I was looking back at pictures of when the boys
were smaller. It's amazing how fast the time goes. People always told me that it went quickly once you have kids. How fast could it possibly go? Well looking at these pictures I can now say, "amazingly fast". It seems like yesterday Iain wore his first birthday crown and just this afternoon he was planning out his 6th birthday (granted he still has a few months). I find it truly amazing that these little boys, who are still little, are growing up at the speed of light. This first picture was taken for Father's Day 2003 and the other two are
from the boys 1st birthday parties! All I can say, is yes, time does fly!

From afro to mohawk in 2.5 seconds!

Talk about great hair! When Sara's hair is wet, it's kinky, curly and stuck to her head. As soon as it dries, the curls leave and the mohawk arrives! It's a crack up! The first picture is right after her bath, the second one is in her jammies a few minutes later! "Poof" goes the hair!!

Sean - The Naked Chef

Everyone needs chocolate chip cookies made by the Naked Chef, right? It is truly hard to keep clothes on this kid! He'd much rather be running around (or making cookies) in the buff!

For a little Sean update...he's a 3 1/2 year old bundle of life and energy! We're convinced he'll be in the entertainment industry one day. He enjoys people and the social aspects of life so much, he is really in his element when all eyes are on him! Preschool has been a fun adventure for him this year. He's now going three mornings per week and loves it! The whole experience has been new and exciting for him. He comes home so excited to explain about 'gooey' or the other preschool wonders that he learns each day. We've decided to take a few months off of speech. He's doing so well and we thought a few months off would be good for him. He'll be returning with his oh' so patient teacher Robin, in April.

Latest Iain happenings

This has been such an exciting year for Iain T. that it's hard to know where to start. As most of you know, he started Kindergarten in the fall and is loving each and every second. He just loves the learning process. Watching his eyes light up with all the new knowledge has been just as exciting for us! In November he was given the Principals Award for his class. (proud momma here!) They had an awards ceremony where he went on stage to receive the award. He was a little embarrassed at the 'big production' but I just loved it all!

He is also enjoying and excelling at Tae Kwon Do. He started back in June as a white belt and is actually being tested today for his purple belt!! He and his good friend Annie take the class together three times per week. They go through a series of "forms" that the kids learn and are later tested on to advance to the next belt. The group favorite is when they get to break the board with their hands. It's just like in the movies, they yell "ey-yah" and hit the board with their hands. It's amazing how those little hands can break real wood with just a little practice! His confidence has really soared since starting! He even stood in front of his Kindergarten class and showed his 'forms" to the other kids.

Our biggest (or littlest) news

Our newest family member is now 3 weeks old. She's just an absolute bundle of cuteness!!! Sara is definitely a sweet baby, she prefers to cuddle and sleep most of the day! When she does wake up, the boys will run around and yell "eyes, eyes" since we so rarely see them open! Iain T. and Sean are constantly hugging and kissing her...can't get enough! Any reservations Iain T. had about having pink in the house have long faded. He is always telling her how much he loves her and wrapping her in her 'pink' blankets! Amazing how things change!! Sean is the gentle giant always wanting to squeeze and love on her! Her older brothers will definitely be spoiling her!

Not sure what to do now!

Well here I am, jumping into the world of blogging! Not sure what I'm doing but hope it comes together. I'm hoping this will be a way for people to keep up with the kids and all their latest activities and happenings. Here's to hopin'!
