Waiting

Right after school got out, the boys all went an their annual Catalina campout for Indian Guides. (Pictures will come soon. They are on a cd so may take a bit) Sara and I had a great time but I've already posted about that. These pictures are from when we picked them up at the dock. I love the progression in her body language as she waited to see the brothers and Daddy that she missed so much!

Look smack dab in the middle of this picture. You may want to click to make it bigger. That white head hanging off the top of the boat is Seany! It made me laugh that I was able to see him immediately!

Finally, Daddy!

San Elijo

A few weeks back we went camping with some close friends. It wasn't far, just about an hour away. The campground is located in San Diego county on a bluff overlooking the beach. Can't get more perfect than that! The other family has two boys each the same age as Iain and Sean. The four of them had a great time! Sara also had a great time just took a bit more entertaining on our part. It took about 5 minutes to walk to the beach. We'd back up, head down for the morning, come back for lunch then go back down until dinner. The kids had such a great time! Nothing like waves and sand to keep them occupied all day!

This was a very monumental moment for Iain. His little girl on her first wave. It's not very clear but you can at least see her on her tummy riding in with Iain on the back of the board. I tried to get a better picture but the way the sun was positioned, I was shooting right into it.

County Fair

Today we took the kiddos to our local county fair. They had a blast! Since I'm exhausted from getting the computer all set up, I will make the writing brief and the pictures plentiful! A few of the pictures look a bit blurry, not sure what that's about! Back tomorrow, I promise! Here you go...

Pig Races. Don't see these often in OC!!

Bumper cars

Iain's first 'scary' ride of the day

You'll need to click on this to see the full effect. They all got airbrush tattoos. Sara's is a pink and purple butterfly, Sean's a snake and Iain's is a star.

Love this picture

Some of the many food choices. If you look very closely at the frog legs choice, you can see they also put "Tastes like chicken". Hmmm, I'll take their word on that one! And that Zucchini Weeni?? No thanks! I'll let someone else try that one!

Another fine dinner choice

Back to planet blog!

We are back and I couldn't be more thrilled! The computer showed up today, one week ahead of schedule. After setting it up and getting the internet connection back (which took three calls to the internet provider and about an hour and a half) the first thing I did was download pictures. I only have ones from June and July but that should keep me busy for awhile!! The old hard drive was recovered and will be reinstalled on this new one next week. Until then, I'm thrilled to be back to the land of the technologically savvy!

Oh where to begin! I literally wrote down ideas as they came to me so I would have a blog list once I was back. Well, it is now over 10 titles long. I can't just do 10 separate blog posts! Since it is almost 10:00pm, I will just do one to cover today!

Technology Blackhole

Still MIA. We've figured out which computer we will be getting but still need to a) get it and b) get all of our "stuff" back on it. I have weeks and weeks worth of pictures to download and many to share.

We had a great time on our camping trip. Can't wait to blog about it and share pictures. Sara rode her first wave, which of course is her Daddy's big dream. (She was on her belly not feet)

Our new computer won't be up and running until the first week of August. Until then a few scattered text only posts will have to do.

back soon...I hope!

I know my blogging hiatus has been huge but unfortunately it will have to continue. Our computer crashed a few weeks ago. We are having all the data 'recovered' (yes it has to be recovered since it officially crashed) and hope to be back up soon. I guess that's what happens when you have an 8 year old computer, huh? We have a friend recovering everything, then we will buy a new system and get it all put back on. Our little snag at this point, it that we don't want Vista so we're looking at getting XP put on the new one. Love that we have to pay about $100 to get "downgraded" to XP as they call it. Sigh...

We're out of town this weekend so none of this will be happening until later next week. Hopefully I'll be back up and running by next weekend!

(I'm borrowing Iain's work computer right now if anyone is wondering how I'm even doing this post.)

Tootles!
