Sara's new word for the week is, you guessed it, beautiful. It tends to be an adjective..."look at that beautiful lake" or "isn't purple a beautiful color today?" or "where are my beautiful shoes?" It can however be used as a term of endearment. Yesterday I walked into the room, she looked toward me and said "Hi Beautiful!" :-)
She's been doing well at school. The tears at drop off are a thing of the past. She walks in willingly and I'm told she enjoys the entire day. My little peanut is slowly becoming a big girl. Last week we were so blessed to be given a LARGE bag filled with princess books. A child in Iain's class was giving them away and offered them to us! We decided instead of giving them all to Sara at one time, she could earn them. So each day her "job" is to come home from school with the name of a new friend from class. (By friend I mean child in her class.) When she tells us the new name, she gets a book. We thought it's a good way to get her familiar with ALL the kids, not just the few she closely identifies with. Sara loves the process. When I pick her up she is very eager to tell me the new name, even though she has to wait for Daddy to get home to get the book.**Side note: she would've gotten the books anyway :-)**
These pictures are from last weeks bizarre weather. Monday it was 108 and by Thursday it was raining. Strange for So Cal.
