Angels Day

Nothing like rooting for our Angels with our Little League team! Go Halos!
On select Sundays the stadium has Family Day. The parking lot is filled with tons of fun activities for the kids. Here's Sean seeing how fast he can pitch. He was clocked at...

Griffith Observatory

Today Iain T. had a field trip to the Griffith Observatory in LA. About a month ago, his teacher came to me and asked if Iain and I wanted to chaperone. Heck ya!! It was so fun to both be there! I have never been there before so this was a new experience for me too. We were given the option of driving ourselves or taking the bus. Guess what we chose?? Yes, a quiet drive by ourselves! :-)

View off to the right. This was one of the biggest hits of the day and sadly, it wasn't part of the observatory. It was so exciting for the kids to be right next to the sign.

View straight on. I wasn't able to get the entire building in the picture, there were people everywhere. This is the main building with two more, one on each side.

The smog filled view from the back. Good ole Downtown LA. Don't breathe deeply, may choke. (cough cough)

Iain looking through the big telescope. It was programed to look at the sun. They had crazy filters on the end so our eyes weren't effected. It actually looked like a picture of an orange ball.

This is a photograph taken from space. This was one of my favorite parts. Amazing!
Right before he hopped back on the bus to head home.
It was a very fun filled space day. There was so many things that Iain and I didn't know, we learned with the kiddos. We enjoyed spending it with our soon to be middle schooler!

Our Circus Fun

The grass stains I battle each week. Whoever made baseball pants white, obviously wasn't the one who did the laundry!

Yesterday Sara brought these to me and said "These are for you. You have my heart no matter what size it is." (See me melt into a puddle...)

Staring mindlessly at the tv after they wake up. The joys of Spring Break! Love that they sit all cuddled up together when they have the entire couch!

See the purple stripe of hair underneath her chin? It's a clip on strand of purple hair that attaches on the top of her hair by her scalp. She loves it, think I do too!

Final Laundromat Journey

For our third and final trip to the laundromat. The exciting, 'Hey, I'm at the laundromat' feeling had faded with trip 2. I was quite a smidge bitter that I was even still needing to go. Luckily I had the world's best helper with me! She helped load the washer and then watched it intently.

But as time passed, she realized she needed a chair to relax in.

Break time for dancing!
Posing for Mom
**About half way through our adventure, Grandma called and offered to take Sara to lunch. She happily accepted and off my helper went.**

Kindergarten Round Up

Kindergarten Round Up. Wow, hard to believe it's here again. Yesterday was the third and last time we will be at our local school for this event. The first time was sad, I cried. The second time was happy, he was thrilled and we were thrilled for him. The third time was a bit apprehensive but exciting!

Sara has been at this school twice a day (if not more) everyday since she was 1 week old. She is comfortable there beyond belief. She is buddies with the principal and knows most teachers by name. She has been to all holiday parties, set up Book Fair and helped at Jog-a-Thon. Still, we know our little girl and new situations can make her a bit apprehensive.

The sun was a little bright for my last minute picture!

We walked up to the classroom with all the other parents and she was starting to walk backwards instead of forward. We knew she was feeling a bit timid. Not quite sure what happened next but all the kids started walking in together. It was a big herd. She jumped in the herd and was off! She went in the class and didn't look back. Neither did we, once she was in, we went to the meeting. About an hour later we went to pick up a smiling little girl. I asked who she played with and she happily said, "No one, I colored and listened to stories." Works for me! She was happy and had enjoyed it! Success!

Come September, I will have all three of my kiddos in school. As Iain finishes up at the school, Sara is going in. Feels weird. When Iain started I was pregnant with Sara. Now as he leaves and goes on to Middle School, she starts.
