To Blog or not to Blog

That is MY question. I love blogging. I love sitting here and writing all about the kiddos latest happenings. I love looking back and reading about them. I love seeing the pictures of their squishy little faces and my thoughts that go with the pictures. That being said, time does not seem to be on my blogging side these days. When I'm not shuttling said children around, I am supervising Super Puppy from eating every little thing he can get his sharp little teeth on.

Since I am on here right now, I will give a basic, compact Circus update. We are enjoying life. The kiddos are as busy as ever being kiddos. We have school, baseball, hip hop dance, and even more baseball.

Iain...

Iain is still loving Middle School. He's doing well in all his classes and even got 6th Grader of the Year! We are very proud of all his effort this year. He's still playing baseball, enjoying it and planning on continuing with it. Here is a pic of Iain with the Superintendent after being presented his award at the School District Board Meeting.

Another highlight for him was meeting CJ Wilson of the Angels. CJ went to FV High School, which is where our kids will go. Since he was recently signed locally, he came back to the school and gave autographs for kids. It wasn't publicised so they actually were able to spend a few mins talking. Mind you he pulled up in his Ferrari with his entourage. :-)

Sean...
What a fabulous 3rd grader he is! To say Sean loves school would probably be a vast over statement. Sean enjoys the social connections he makes at school, he loves recess, not sure he loves school in and of itself though. That being said, Sean has maintained straight A's all year. He is still enjoying baseball which is apparent in his City Report Project he recently did. He chose Anaheim just so he could do the Big A. Look closely and you can see Diego made it in the project, first jeep on the right! :-) As an Angel lover, he was of course also thrilled to meet CJ Wilson. Getting an autograph by someone who went to a local high school felt special to him.

Sara...

Little Miss Sassy Pants! She is soaking up every minute of Kindergarten. She loves school, she loves learning.  A few weeks ago, Sara started a Hip Hop dance class. She loves it! We were debating between ballet, cheerleading and hip hop. She made the right choice! She likes the hip shaking, sassiness of the moves and oh how it suits her! (It's all very clean and age appropriate) Last month she received an art award at school. Her rendition of Abe was shown at the District Art Show. Indian Princesses has also been a big part of Sara's fun. She has had two camp outs over the past 3 months. She's loving it!
That wasn't so basic and compact. I'm hoping to get back on here soon, maybe before Iain goes off to college??

Meet Hurley

Hurley!

I'm sure most of you have seen him on our facebook page or at least heard about his antics. He's fun. He's crazy. He's snuggly. He's most definitely a puppy.
We were lucky enough to find him online when he was almost 4 months old. We submitted a two page application (which seemed a bit much) and were accepted a week later. I knew when I saw his picture that he was our dog. It sounds hokey but I did. This is the picture.

Over Thanksgiving break we drove about an hour to visit him for the first time. He was small, skinny, sickly, very, very stinky and scared to pieces. He sat on the grass in front of us and quivered. Iain and the boys questioned that he was 'meant to be' ours as I kept telling them. I didn't. I must admit his stench was a bit alarming but he was ours. We did not take him that day. We went home to 'discuss'. I called the foster mom back the next day and told her we were still interested but wanted a full vet work up on what was going on. The following day I received a call. He needed meds (shocker) but they would pay for everything. Iain decided to take a leap of faith based on the assurance of his insane, sappy wife :-). Four days after we met him for the first time, he was home with us. I can confidenty say we are all glad he's here!

Now, 6 weeks later, we're still having fun with this little guy! The kids take turns walking him every morning and Iain and I walk him every night. He is training pretty well. He can sit, stay, roll over, shake and occasionally come when called. He also eats electrical cords, barbies, slippers, and anything that belongs to the cat. Pretty talented huh?? This quirky, silly dog fits in perfectly around here!
