Spring Break

Due to the weather forcast of multiple days of rain (which turned out to be wrong, it didn't rain at all!!) we cancelled our long awaited Spring Break camping trip to San Onofre. The boys actually took it pretty well all considering. Now looking back it turned out for the best. The kids caught colds and were at various stages of coughs, fevers and runny noses all week. Luckily we were able to find a day when all three were pretty peppy and off we went to the Discovery Science Center. What a great place! As soon as we got there, the boys took on rock climbing! Iain jumped right on and was able to get across most of the wall without help! As you can see from the next few pictures, bubbles were the featured attraction of the season. Who knew bubbles could get this big! We were in the bubble room for about 15 minutes having a great time!

Another attraction that had us mesmerized was the bed of nails. The kids (and curious adults...see picture) lay on a table and they raise nails up through the holes. Since the weight is distributed they don't feel the nails. There were signs explaining how the nails were regular nails like the ones found at a hardware store. Amazing!

All in all the day was quite a success. The boys are already talking about the 'next time we go'!
