Snotty the Wonder Dog

We were lucky enough to have Spotty come and stay with us this past week. Spotty is the mascot for Sean's preschool class. He's a little stuffed dog that each child gets to bring home for a few days at a time. He comes with a backpack full of clothes and a journal to tell about the fun they had together. It's very cute to watch the kids get excited when it's their turn to love the puppy for a week. The little girls always have 'him' dressed in pink skirts and dresses. As soon as Spotty gets home with a little boy, the pink comes off and the skateboarding outfits come on. We call Spotty a 'he' but every little girl and her family calls Spotty a 'she'. Spotty had another nickname while he was here, Snotty! Iain was giving Sean a hard time when he brought him home..."Was his name Scotty?", "Was it Schotty?", "Oh' it must be Snotty!" Sean of course is laughing, saying "No, it's Spotty!". Having two little boys around, they thought calling him Snotty was hilarious, so Snotty it was! Sara took an immediate liking to Snotty too. She was carrying him around, trying to get him away from Sean whenever possible. Sean liked being the chosen one for the week but he wasn't very atttached to his canine friend. So sharing him wasn't a problem.
